How to Use This Tool
This web-based assessment tool lets you score individuals and teams across the 8 Archetypes of Automation. It runs entirely in your browser and no data is sent to any server.
Adding Assessments
- Click + Add Assessment to launch the assessment wizard.
- Enter the name and role of the person being assessed (e.g. “Jane Smith, Operations Lead”).
- Step through each of the 8 archetypes using Next and Back. Score their capability 0–10 on each one, using the sub-archetype descriptions to calibrate.
- On the final step, click Add to Team to include this person in the team view.
- Repeat for each team member.
Saving & Importing Team Results
- Click Export on the Team Assessment tab to save the full team dataset as a
.jsonfile. - Click Import to reload a previously exported team assessment.
Generating a PDF Report
- Click Generate Report on the Team Assessment tab.
- Choose whether to include individual breakdowns (each person’s scores, radar chart, and per-dimension narrative on separate pages).
- Choose explainer depth: Short (2–3 sentence narrative per dimension) or Long (full sub-archetype breakdown with framework citations).
- Click Generate Report to produce a printable PDF of the full team capability profile.
Interpreting Team Results
- Where radars diverge on an archetype, that disagreement is worth discussing. It may indicate unclear expectations or hidden strengths.
- Where all evaluators score an archetype low, that is your most urgent gap to address through hiring, training, or partnerships.
- The archetype with the lowest combined team score represents your most urgent investment area.
Reading the Gap Analysis
- Archetypes are ranked from lowest to highest average score across all evaluators.
- The top of the list represents your team’s biggest capability gaps. These are the areas most urgently needing investment through hiring, training, or partnerships.
- The bottom of the list shows your team’s strongest areas. Leverage these as anchors when planning automation initiatives.
- Look for clusters of low-scoring archetypes: multiple adjacent gaps can compound risk.
